The social sector is one of the priorities of DKC. Our company actively supervises educational and sports organizations, is a partner of scientific and cultural projects. One of the new projects supported by DKC is the exhibition "Under the mask of Venice", which will open on 27 April within the framework of the Open Festival of Arts "Cherry Forest".

Venice is one of the most beautiful cities in the world, a recognized tourist centre. In 2021 this city turns 1600 years old. "Under the mask of Venice" is a unique exhibition dedicated to the culture and way of life of this city in the 18th century. Guests will see exhibits from the Museum of Glass on the island of Murano, the Doge’s Palace, the museums of Correr and Ka'Retzonico (18th century Museum of Venice), the Mocenigo Palace (Museum of Costumes and Fabrics). Objects from the collections of the State Museum of Fine Arts named after A.S. Pushkin, State Museum-Reserve «Tsaritsyno», State Historical Museum, Museum-Mansion «Arkhangelsk» and etc. will complete the collection.

In Moscow will be brought exhibits that will help the guests to immerse themselves in the life of the Venetians of the 18th century: costumes of prominent citizens, Murano glass, dishes, engravings and paintings by Pietro Longa depicting scenes from everyday life in Venice, games from Venetian gambling houses and even the iron nose of a 17th-century gondola. Obviously, the exhibition "Under the mask of Venice" couldn’t have been without Carnival masks. Among the exhibits are masks-bauts: masks of this type were worn by Giacomo Casanova himself.

The viewer will not just be an observer, but the main actor, who will be surrounded by new decorations in every room. A special section of the exhibition – perfumery – will help immerse more deeply into the world of Venetian culture and everyday life. It was organized in collaboration with "Acqua di Parma". In this part of the exposition you will learn about the fearless Venetian merchants who have crossed the seas and immerse yourself in the scents of oriental spices, sandals, leather and amber.

The exhibition will be opened in the Bread House of the museum-reserve "Tsaritsyno". All those who wish to visit it will have to buy a ticket to the Bread House or the Grand Palace.
